A drop in temperature has brought a collective sense of concern that the relief camps are just not prepared for winter. Most relief camps lack proper mattresses. For the lucky few whose beds and mattresses were not burned along with their homes, they had brought their own mattresses. There were makeshift mattresses provided by relief camps which have become unusable. The other main concern are the structures they sleep in. Most camps are non insulated, tarp or corrugated metal roof and wall with no moisture or wind barrier. While they are bearable in summer, they provide no warmth in winter. In some cases humans share a shed with livestock. Just like shared meals, it has become the new normal.
